Mel is a certified Yoga Instructor who teaches Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Hot Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga classes for all levels throughout London.
Leaving her job in the city in 2013 to travel India is when Mel connected more deeply with her Yoga practice, completing her 200RYT at Rishikesh Yog Peeth School in the foothills of the Himalayas. In the last 4 years, Mel has explored her practice further, introducing the teachings of Iyengar via Richard Rosen to assist with alignment and Pranayama practices and has completed a Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training with Nadia Narain at Tri Yoga in Camden, London.
Not shying too far away from her energetic Ashtanga routes, Mel’s approach to yoga is fun and experimental. She encourages each student with vocal adjustments, focusing largely on non-comparison, asking students to explore their breath deeper than their minds, with huge emphasis on making students feel good not only physically but mentally.
The aim of Mel's classes are to give people their time back - to be present and utterly selfish. She encourages people to accept their physical limitations with the understanding that there is so much more to Yoga than just touching your toes.
